Hi! I’m Alfie and i’m an audio engineer based in Bristol, UK.
I started off playing in bands at 14 in my hometown of Wimborne, Dorset whilst studying Music technology, subsequently moving to Bristol at 21 to pursue my career. I joined a few bands and ended up playing as a session musician for artists like Stevie Parker and Katy J Pearson which led to performances on Jools Holland & at Glastonbury festival amongst others. Whilst touring, I kept up momentum as a producer and recording engineer, borrowing space and gear from friends and getting involved with any artist who would let me take the reins.
In 2021 I helped develop the basement of legendary Bristol venue The Louisiana into a working studio after it became derelict from it’s heyday in the 90’s. We have equipped it with a modest but very workable setup, which is designed to help the music community after being set back by the Covid pandemic by offering affordable services at a professional level. Since then we’ve helped budding engineers set themselves up, and I have used it extensively on recording and production projects, as well as a mixing space.
Alongside this I keep my foot in the live realm as a front of house/monitor engineer for acts such as Gaz Coombes and SCALER, as well as playback and backline tech for acts such as Supergrass and The Jacksons. I also work at various venues around Bristol including The Louisiana, Thekla, Crofters rights and The Lanes.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me for any queries.
